The Basra clinics are located at Iraq Energy City, Az Zubayr and Al Majal Business Park, Burjessia.

The clinics offer the following services:

• Ground transportation to Basra International Airport utilising dedicated armoured and soft skin ambulance fleet*

In 2014, International SOS opened our first clinic dedicated to providing Occupational Health Services. This was in response to the growing demand in the oil and gas industry, to assess Iraqi national staff fitness to work, against international standards.

The clinic offers the following services:

The Occupational Health Clinic is staffed by a specialist Occupational Health Doctor and Nurse and is overseen regionally by a specialist Occupational Health Medical Director who is OGUK qualified.

The protocols used in the clinic are international best practice including; the use of ‘vanish point needles” for blood collection, minimising the risk of needle stick injury.

The clinic in Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan was first established in 2010 in order to serve the needs of international organisations and their employees working in the greater Erbil area.

The clinic provides the following services:

• 24/7 Emergency stabilisation of critically injured or ill patients
• Ground ambulance and road rescue services
• Routine primary health care consultation
• Minor procedures including simple wound dressing and sutures
• In-house diagnostic capability including basic blood test, rapid and urine tests
• Dispensary of routine and emergency medication and consumables
• Internationally experienced medical team of doctors and paramedics speaking English, French, German and Dutch, supported by local Kurdish nationals
• Occupational Health assessments for international staff
• In-hospital patient support services

In 2016, International SOS expanded its clinic plan footprint through our partnership with Al Majal Business Park. This partnership gives existing members of International SOS Iraq Clinic Plan access to the full capabilities of the clinic which will be staffed full time with a dedicated ambulance and an ACLS Health Care Practitioner who has significant remote care experience.

The clinic offers the following services:

• Emergency stabilization capability
• Routine primary healthcare consultation
• Minor procedures, including simple wound dressing & sutures
• Ground transportation to International SOS
• Basra Clinic for escalated medical care (ICU facility) utilizing dedicated soft skin ambulance
• Dispensary of routine & emergency medication and consumables

This medical facility is staffed with an English speaking National Medical Doctor and National Medical Personnel. It is operating under the medical supervision of our clinic in Basra and offers:

• Primary Medical Care
• Emergency Medical Care (24/7 via our Basra clinic)
• Occupational Health Care

Opened in early 2022 this clinic is structured and staffed for provision of Primary and Emergency Health Care with an Advanced Life Support Capability and access to local hospitals in Baghdad. The clinic offers:
